The movie "UP" has a title shot that has the text placed to look like it's up in the sky like the clouds. This creates a fun, grand, and lighthearted feel. The opening credits have the audience following a balloon until it is brought with an abundance of multiple balloons. As the audience follows along a wondering, adventurous and fun mood is created. The movie being a child-targeted film, the opening credits are fitting and appropriate as they stray away from serious or dark tones and instead use bright colors and fun concepts to create a happy and cheerful mood. The opening credits and title shot is vital in giving the audience an early and initial feel for the whole movie.

The horror film, American Psycho, includes a title shot of a white background, clean and simple text, and what seems to be splatters of blood (even though the audience soon finds out in actuality these blood splatters are made from raspberry sauce). The title shot helps in creating the mood and feel for the scenes and movie to come. From the title shot alone, an unsettling mood is created and the audience can anticipate the uneasy feeling that the movie will create. The clean white background and font of the text are symbolic of the main character's perceived perfect, clean, and simple life. The red splatters help in revealing the blood lust of the character and the messiness in his life that he soon isn't able to hide. The title shot is joined with the opening credits which help in furthering this unsettling and dark mood. The opening credits include someone chopping into a hunk of meat with a sharp knife. This will cause alarm and intensity while furthering this unsettling and uneasy mood. The opening credits also give the audience insight into the movie by including assumed upper-class people eating which allows the audience to see what kind of life they will be diving into once the movie begins.

The opening credits of Black Widow help in creating a haunting and creepy mood/feel. The opening credits consist of short shots merged together like a montage so that the audience is able to pick up on the life of Black Widow and her background in a short amount of time. The shots chosen for the opening credits are dark, dramatic, and highly emotional/intense. The fast pace of the shots along with their briefness creates mystery but gives the reader enough information to pick up on feelings created and hints suggested such as the feeling of desperation and loss and the hints of assassination and mind control. Overall, the opening credits help in conveying this serious, haunting, and intense mood while also giving the reader a greater understanding of the points made.

The opening credits/title shot of Stranger Things allows for an ominous and mysterious mood created. The presentation of the title is the slow-moving letters to form the title, which creates tension as the music and letters build up. The letters almost seem as if they are creeping mysteriously which helps in creating this ominous and mysterious mood that is suitable for the television show Stranger Things since the show is about the strange and mysterious occurrences in a small town. The title sequences/opening credits help in establishing the mood before the action or movie picks up or starts. Furthermore, the bright and illuminated red color and the grandness of the title create this creepy, and scary feeling, but not enough to where it's gruesome, horrific, or not appropriate for kids.

Dead pool utilizes juxtaposition in the opening credits in order to create this comical, funny, and humorous mood and feel. A slow love/pop song sung by a woman is played during the opening credits which contrasts with the action-packed and seemingly intense scene frozen in the opening credits. This clear and emphasized contrast is what makes the scene funny and creates a comical and fun mood. In the opening credits, the film also uses ironic components such as a hello kitty lip gloss in the middle of a car crash and fighting which is amusing to the audience. Moreover, the whole scene is frozen which allows the filmmaker to hone in on and emphasize certain components of the mis-en-scene such as the hello kitty prop. Overall, the opening credits allow the audience to understand that the movie is likely to be action-packed and humorous since that is the mood that is created.
