Initial Storyboard

Here is the first storyboard that my group and I created to help organize our ideas and guide our filming for our opening sequence...

Above you can see the storyboard my group and I have made :). It was very exciting getting to talk about our movie opening as it feels like we are getting closer and closer to the finished product( sure...we still have a long long long way to go but its a start!) Each section of our storyboard is labeled in chronological order ( 1st shot,  2nd shot, 3rd shot..) from left to right, top to bottom, with the corresponding labeled explanation in the picture below. Essentially the storyboard lays out my group's vision for our movie opening! We envisioned what would be the opening of a girl, beautiful, lively, and feminine, stepping out of her car and making her way to a house. She enters the house and it is revealed that there is a party that she is attending. The setting is displayed and showcased to the audience and the fun she and her friends are having is emphasized. The storyboard showcases that as the party goes on the girl/main character struggles to maintain her perfect girl facade as she comes into contact with difficult questions and triggers from her friends. She hides in the bathroom as she breaks down in private and attempts to bring herself together despite the pain and trauma burdening her. She leaves the bathroom ready to return as the perfect girl she wants everyone to think she is.

Creating this story idea was especially fun as my group and I pulled together our ideas to lay out what we think would be an ideal movie opening. Desiree was our main artist as she drew all the pictures and managed to portray each shot as intended! We discussed as a group what we had in mind for each shot and what we wanted each shot to convey and look like. As we finalized decisions, a group member would write down what we had decided as a group. Communication was a significant and vital tool in our group as we had to make sure everyone was able to express their ideas clearly so that each idea could be received and discussed properly to come to final decisions. As a group, I believe we worked significantly well together and I am excited for the next thing on the agenda!
